Position: General and Operations Manager – Aus/NZ

Sportcor combines the latest in advanced electronics and data analytics with traditional sports equipment. The movement data collected by our sensors in a Cricket Ball (or Baseball, Field Hockey and Lacrosse) deliver highly accurate information such as speed, distance, force and spin on to our platform that lets broadcasters, players, coaches and fans engage with the sport on a whole new level.

You will have responsibility for sales, delivery and marketing throughout the region. You will develop a vision for delivering the Company’s products and services based on the roadmap and input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and your own industry insight. Recruiting a high performing sales and support team you will support them with
client visits and event attendance. Responsibilities will also include overseeing and implementing the organisation’s daily operational procedures in line with the company globally and managing local regional finances.

Skills:

We are searching for an experienced Manager who can demonstrate a highly successful record creating and delivering on a Roadmap that you will develop in collaboration with the Senior Management team whilst taking insight from Sales, Clients, our development team and your own skills, industry knowledge and experience. You must have a strong interest in Cricket and show some knowledge of the regional structure and organisation and be hungry to expand your industry knowledge. You can demonstrate and bring to the company an ability to knock down doors and be accountable and trustworthy.

Objectives of this role:

Drive Sales and the revenue line as well as controlling costs in line with a given budget.
Work with customers, suppliers and Senior Management globally to understand the unique positioning of our products and services and promote business growth.
Work with the global management team to add and take ideas to support your regions development.
Set KPI’s for your teams and measure and report against them.

Responsibilities:

Drive the execution of all local processes in line with Sportcor’s global entities and familiarise yourself with legal and governance requirements.
Translate product strategy into customer solutions and commercialise.
Create presentation and marketing material localising and working with global resource.
Analyse market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Sportcor across primary market segments. Markets will include Cricket at a top flight level down to academy and schools in both Ladies and Gents games and may include a retail strategy.

Required skills and qualifications:

Degree in business management
Good knowledge of different business functions.
Strong leadership qualities, proactive and excellent communication skills.
Highly organised with a strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Computer literate.
Must have a deep knowledge of Cricket and a personal interest in sport
